Neither is "better": The two are formally correct, but at different times of the day. Ascot tie is worn with frock coat (frock coat and striped trousers stroller or gray stripes) at any time before six pm would be inaccurate in tails.
A fly is used in full dress: jacket size half-length or no tails, tuxedo as "Tuxedo". It would be wrong with the dress in the morning.
Depending on the time of day and year ...... Is not really important to you personally think that it is preferable to the age of the witnesses, the loop, look at the cute bow on small children and grandparents, that seems to be the age that lame. Go with the tie.
